Mr. B.C. Prabhakar, an eminent Advocate, is widely acclaimed as a Specialist in labour laws and has been actively practicing before Labour Courts, Industrial Tribunals and the High Court of Karnataka for over 36 years.

A graduate in Arts and Law (B.A., B.L.) from the University of Mysore, he is the legal advisor to more than 100 companies including Multinational Corporations, Public Sectors, Private Sectors, Educational Institutions etc.

As a senior Management Consultant, Mr. Prabhakar is widely known for his negotiation skills with Labour Unions. He has successfully resolved labour issues, guided Managements in wage negotiations and facilitated
Managements & Unions to sign settlements.

As a Management educator, he has conducted several workshops and training programmes relating to Labour Laws, Industrial Relations, Labour Market Reforms, Gender Sensitivity issues etc.

He has been closely associated with the Karnataka Employers' Association (KEA) since 1972 and currently is the President of KEA. Under his leadership, KEA, the oldest and largest Employers' association in the State of Karnataka, has progressed tremendously and is recognized as the 'Voice of Employers' in the State today. As the President of KEA, he has been the prime mover of Labour market reforms in the State of Karnataka.

He is closely associated with the activities of International Labour Organization (ILO). He has participated in several workshops and seminars worldwide on varied topics and subjects. He has also served as a member of the ESI Central Committee and Apprentice ship Counsel.

Mr. Prabhakar is Director on the Board of Wipro Limited, 3M India Ltd., and Automotive Axles Ltd. He is also Member of the Court of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
